Pathfinder Welcomes New CSciO
The crew of the U.S.S. Pathfinder is pleased to announce and welcome aboard LTjg Sunam.
Sunam is a deeply reflective vulcan.
He lost every member of his family and every friend he had ever had at home.
His wife and two children were on one of vulcan’s moons when Nero arrived. They, too, perished when the moon was pulled into the black hole that once was their home.
Although his emotions now boil much closer to the surface he holds it in check, using Commander Spock as an example.
Sunam has all the normal strengths and weaknesses that you might expect from a paticularly intelligent vulcan.
In addition his skill with the Mind Meld is a good deal stronger than most, it is simply a natural talent.
If he has any weakness moreso than any other it would be a growing hatred of the Romulans for spawning the villain Nero.
As a younger man Sunam attended the Vulcan Science Academy, attaining a double degrees, one in astrophysics and the other in psionic studies.
He also, of course, obtained a firm understanding of all basic scientific principles and a grasp of most disciplines anywhere near related to his main studies.
After marrying and fathering his twins ten years ago he took a posting to a Denobulan institute for psionic research.
During his studies there one of the precogs. warned him that a blackness would descend and consume everything he ever knew and only by changing the course of his life drastically could he survive it.
Believing the man he took radical action and joined starfleet.
It seems to have saved his life but it took everything else.
Having graduated Starfleet academy in 2259, he has since served aboard the U.S.S. Jingez as a science officer and later the U.S.S. Graeham as the assistant chief science officer.
Sunam will come aboard the U.S.S. Pathfinder just before it departs Starbase Hatteras on its new mission.
Playing the part of Sunam is Rick Taylor, a long time self-proclaimed Trekkie who is excited by the “reset” universe and alternate timeline introduced by Star Trek XI.
May his adventures and experiences with us be enjoyable and rewarding!
*** Information on the character Sunam was pulled from the bio submitted by Mr. Taylor.
